Question on original 1969 Camaro coil springs part number YF 3955722

Can someone please tell me if coil springs YF 3955722 would have possibly been used on an original 1969 Z28? I have read other discussions about coil springs on this and other sites but was unable to find a definitve answer. Would theee springs ONLY have been used on a Z28 or could they have been used on other 1969 Camaros as well?

Thanks very much, John. Would you mind telling me what resource you used to verify the use of this spring part # on a '69 Z? I have seached for a definitive source on this but have not been able to uncover one.

The chart is from G.M. I tried to post it, but it comes back file to large.  I also have a weight variation chart if you need it.  I will try to email these to you tomorrow.   It's also on page 71 in Jerry's book.

To clear this up, the springs  are on page 71 not the chart. Sorry for the misinformation.

YF is a 69 Z28 front spring for a car with 0-48 lbs of options.  Z28s used YF, EY, and YH front springs, and BM springs on the rear.

Mark, John- sorry for the incessant questions, but what significance does the spring part # of 3955722 play? The tables show on the 2-character code, but not the 7 digit number. Is the 7-digit # unique/relevant to a Z28 or does only the 2-character code dictate that?

    Thanks for the info. I have a suspected COPO Camaro, which has a Yellow front spring tag, which appears to be 3955725.

     Based on a process of elimination, and if you discount the original BE rear, MN coded engine and owner history of the Camaro, the most likey senarios are that the Camaro is either an SS 350 or COPO L72.

      While the HA/BA tags were used in many applications this tag on this particular Camaro, based on options seems to point in the direction of L72. (An SS350 would be to light for this spring based on the chart )

       Options: AM Radio,Tach Gages/Console and Cowl Induction, Heavy Duty Radiator.

      What do you think??

I can't get the weight above 225 or so, so I would expect a YP coded spring for a BB.
Or a EK or YH for a SS350.

Not sure how accurate that table is .....

If you assume that the springs are original to the Camaro and that the correct application was utilized by the factory, can you see these springs having been used on a SS small block, with cowl induction, Tach-gages, console, and AM Radio?

Are you using the same weight factor for L72 as the L78?

I have a 68 SS/RS 350 with remants of the original tag.  It is yellow and is number 3955722.  The car has ac, f41 and some other options.  This spring number is not even listed for 68, but it is for 69.  The car was built 07C.  Is anyone reproducing this color and number decal?
