68 z28 engine for sale on Craigs List - 8L338581

Hello,

Saw a posting for a fairly complete 68 z engine, block stamped with MO. Says it has a 610 intake, dz carb etc. Does not list the VIN. Search the SF Bay Area listings for 1-10-2008. Shows it's located in Turlock, Ca. Also still has an M20 bolted up to it. Maybe it will find it's correct home. Thanks, Dan (wish I had the car!)

The seller just responded to my email.  The partial VIN stamped on the engine pad is 18L338581.

UPDATE:

I spoke to the seller via e-mail and his car was stolen in 2003 while under resto at someones shop (ouch!). He did sell the engine to someone in Cal. who was also buying a 68 z without engine and trans. the same week. He said the car was dark blue/white stripes with black int. rallys etc. Calif. Lic. plate #WQL 799. He said the plates will come up as stolen. Thanks, Dan..........keep 'em locked up!
