I'm with Gary on Classic Muscle.  Actually, the group that owns Classic Muscle also owns several other dealerships besides GM.  They have a great staff and do try to answer your questions.

I got their new catalog and noticed everything went up a good 20% across the board at least.  Also, shipping seems to have gotten a little pricey.  I live in Florida and did not have to pay sales tax, but now that Ecklers owns them and has a presence in FL I now have to pay sales tax.  I have restored five first gen Camaros since 1992 and Ricks has been the bulk of my parts.  I always dealt with Ricks for the savings of course as we all know he had the best prices, but also I was dealing with a small business where I could speak with Rick himself if need be.  Now, Rick's is corporate and Eckler's is trying to recap their investment quickly with the increase in prices and shipping.  I remember in the past Rick's was always easy to deal with on returns or exchanges...not sure what now is like.  I too am shopping for a replacement dealer.  Since the Eckler's fiasco takeover, I have used Matts Classic Bowties and National Parts Depot.  NPD now has better prices and shipping rates than Rick's, so I will use them.  NPD also has warehouses throughout the country so shipping is quick, 2 days for a regular order for me.  Matt's was really helpful and courteous and their prices were terrific.  Also, NPD will mail you a free catalog..none of that $4 for a catalog crap.  I urge all of you to check both of these guys out...they did right by me.  Hopefully Eckler's/Rick's will get the message.

I have used Classic Muscle, and NPD with great success.  I will stop in Ocala on the way to Orlando ( visit daughter and son- in-law) and pick it up from NPD.

Hey sdkar, Got a web address for Matt's?  I never heard of them...

Some one should send them a link to this topic.  But they probably would not look.  They have not answered any of my email.

Thanks for the web address.  Looks like Matt's has quite a bit of stuff to offer.  It's unfortunate but it still seems like Rick's has the most complete listings for the harder to find parts.  At least with all the other suppliers most of what we need can be had from them with minamal purchases from Rick's.

Since we are on the subject I would like to recommend Steve's Camaros in San Bruno, CA...

http://www.stevescamaroparts.com/index.html

Steve has been in business for over 25 years and has ALWAYS made himself available for questions and help!  Steve is the sole proprietor and therefore goes above and beyond to make his customer's happy.  If you're ever on vacation/business in San Francisco you should check out his shop.    :)

I checked the part number RC-48B Vacuum Advance Tube Clip, and the price changed from $3.50 to $5.99 not $16.00 as previously stated.  I also called Rick's to verify this price, so I don't understand your comment regarding the price of this part.

If you look at page 104 in the new Rick's catalog it is in there for $15.99.  Part # RC-145
