Jonesy ... Yes, it was a great find with a neat story.  The previous owner does have some original pics of the car and is putting them together with his "story" about the car as we speak.  Please email me.  I see you have a 67 Z/28.  I have one too, would like to chat about that.

The JL8 car I am mentiioning had a cowl tag with factory black as a color..I believe the car was sold at B&J in 1996...it was definitly worth the money, and I should have bought it for the sum of the parts..

That's not a real JL8 car. That axle was added to the car.

olympic69 ... Thanks for the link and congrats.  We were glad to seal the deal on the JL-8.  It was a fun trip from Maine to Kansas City (Overland Park actually) and back with my car trailer.  Scored a JL-8 car and some KC Masterpiece ribs!  Send me an email and let's talk.

KurtS ... Is that a JL-8 rear or HD service rear on that C to C car?  I can't tell from the photo.

As a side note..the JL8 car I was mentioning had just about every option on it, which was one of the reasons I passed, along with no paperwork...that lus I wasn't completely sure why the owner was selling didn't help..he didn't need the money and had a huge collection...Anyone remember the car?

Thanks for the pic.  I like the Orange when it has the Black top and stripes.  This car still around your area?  Do you know the owner?

Thanks,

Butch

The owners name was Ed Ulyate (sp?)..He owned the white/blue interior COPO along with a ZL1, about 5 Boss 429 'stangs, a 427 Cobra, a Ralley Green Yenko, etc. when I looked at the JL8..He has/had about 65 cars...interestingly one of his homes was where I looked at the car..it was in Gordonsville, VA (mid western VA) and was the birth place of a relative of mine ...President Zachary Taylor...

I think I have the VIN of the JL8 somewhere..I'll look..I'm sure it went into another collection..I passed simply because there wasn't any paperwork, the car had an incredible amount of options, which appeared to have been added, and Ed needed an answer like yesterday on the car..still should have bought it for the 17k (1995 mind you...) he wanted, but I already had the "pilot" LS6, another LS6 4 spd car, and a few solid lifter '68 and '69 Camaros...
