'67 accelerator return spring: was there a bracket?
« on: April 16, 2013, 10:27:22 PM »
Did a search and didn't find much for a 67.  did 67's use a accelerator return spring bracket?  The 67 AIM UPC6 D2 shows one (p/n 3904249) that looks to be attached with the coil bracket.  Could not find any reproduced through heartbeat city or classic muscle.  Anyone know where to get one if one is required?  Any pics?

Yes, the '67 sb V8 has such a part, I would be happy to supply a picture if you need it, as the GM Parts WIKI has an incorrect drawing of the part. I don't know where to get one, but will look around to see if I have an additional one.

Thanks for the pics.  Now I know what to look for, just hope I can find one...

I found one for the '68 327 / 350 (it's different than the '67). The part your looking for seems to be associated with'67 only (Camaro and Chevelle) 327 and 350's. Good luck in your search, as I don't believe they repro it.

Hey 1967RS/SS - do it look like this ? It's free if you'll pay the freight - if you still need one. My old eyes and worse memory didn't fail me for once (found this yesterday).

Regards,
Steve
