I need LOTS and LOTS of pics for the CRG homepage.
« on: July 18, 2007, 02:47:51 AM »
I used to make this request and get a lot of submissions....but lately when I beg all I get are one or two responses.  C'mon guys...surely I haven't posted everyone's car that visits CRG.  I would like to build up the supply of pics and get them ready to use so I don't have to grovel at the end of every month.   So please send in pics of your Camaro.  If you don't have one...send in a pic of your friend's car.  If you don't have a friend with a Camaro...go make some.  Do what I do...next time you go to a car show and see a Camaro you think is cool and worthy of our home page...walk up and talk to the owner and ask him if you can take a pic of his car and submit it for our homepage.  I am sure you won't get no for an answer.  Get the guy's name so we can give him credit for his ride.  Tell him about CRG and how great it is while your at it.  I get a great pic of a Camaro, the guy gets introduced to the coolest Camaro website and his car posted on our homepage, and you get a new friend with a cool Camaro...everybody wins.

Please Please Please...I want to get lots of submissions.  I promise to post every usable photo I get.  You have now all been deputized as my new photographers in the field, now get busy with your assignment and make all of us proud.

Send your photos to:

sdkar@bellsouth.net

Thanks,

Steve

How about some cars that are in, say, a state of disrepair or under construction? I know the front page has always had some dynamite cars but how about an occasional change?

Hi Steve, maybe you should have a monthly feature car. Instead of three cars just one. Other web sites do the same that way ya wont run out of cars to post. 1 nice big pic with the car in front of some nice scenery. Also maybe an engine bay shot and interrior shot and a little story about the car. That would make us all go out and take more pics of our cars again!!!! ;D . Just my 2 cents. Ron C

...to add to the thought of having "under construction" pics, ...how about "filed/barn finds", ...pics as they sit/sat before restoration.
...aside from that, ...I'll see what pics I can dig up and send in...

Thanks guys...I got a terrific response.  As usual, I have lots of 69's, which is great.  I got a few 67's...at least enough to keep me going for a few months.  I only got one 68 though, thanks to Jason Dearduff.  Please keep sending in your pics.  I promise that everyone that sent in a pic will get posted.  If you sent a 67...you will see yours within a few months...you 69 guys will be a little longer but your pic will get to be a homepage car soon enough.

Thanks to everyone for a great response and keep 'em coming.

Ron,

Great idea.  That would be a great feature to this site.  A little history behind a featured car of a member each week or each month.  People love the reader's rides type stuff, myself included.
