correct 68 L78 clutch
« on: July 02, 2007, 02:17:41 PM »
I have the correct fan with the 3.25 spacing.....thank goodness......but I need a clutch fan that at least looks correct. I have this clutch with the correct spacing. Any advice if its at least a good match if not correct?

I figured as much :(  I remember reading a post where a debate was had that both the spring type and the one with the rectangle center with straight fins were both observed on the L78? Either way this one will have to do for now. Out of money and patience.....thanks for the feedback!

There were rumors floating around that this fan clutch was not used on the 375 horse engine.  It was.  This configuration was used on both solid lifter applications in 1967 and 1968.......Z28 and L78.

Jerry, can you clarify, are you saying the one I have was used and is correct as well as the other shown? Or are you saying the other is the only correct version?

The one posted just above my post here is the right one.  I also have photos in my book.
