I have read the comments about the wiper trans. being painted black, but was wondering if the whole thing was painted or just the arms? I have one that appears that the arms were painted before it was riveted togther, and the wiper arm posts and their mounting brackets were not painted. Has anyone else seen this?
Thks.:
Sam

My whole wiper transmission was a kind of gray phosphate, like hood hinges are. My car is a very early production '68. Hope this helps.
