rally wheels

who makes the best 15x7, 4.25 rallys for a 69 z.

I have two wobblers about 1/4" out of straight.
Could they be straightened and is it worth it.

GM made the best ones, and if you are careful and patient good GM examples are still available..  Check out y our local swap meets..

WaltZ:  If your wobblers have good metal and no physical damage from an accident, then I suspect they can be straightened.  There is a local company here (Wheel Fixit) that can do it and there are probably companies local to you as well...

I can't see the repair cost greater than the cost of replacing AD or YH wheels. Those 2 wheel codes seem to go through the roof....Joe

You need to find good originals if original detail is desired. Reproduction wheels look similar, but are not 100% accurate. Best option is to straighten your wheels, but that's not possible for all bent wheels.

Those wheels could very likely be from an early 1970 Monte Carlo as their rallye wheels were also 'YH' code.   THere probably were lots more '70 MC being built at that time than '69 Z28s...

Joe?  Are you suggesting that all 'YH' coded wheels are NOT the same?   Your example (K-1-0.._)  would be wheels produced during the 1970 calendar year, but as I recall Monte production began on the normal yearly schedule at that time (beginning around Sept of the prior year)...   Do you have a YH example produced during 1970 (per your example K-1-0_) that has smaller shaped vent holes?

I don't have any in my parts but have compared them over the years. When I'm at swap meet, I can see the larger hole before I even get close to the wheel. YH isn't the only wheel with different hole sizes but the k-1-0 do have smaller holes...Joe

FW's are fairly cheap and are 15x7 and they have the same 4.25" BS.  IIRC
