It should read: Trim tag from 68 Coupe.
Nothing suggests the RPO('s) installed on this model
Jim
68 SS/RS L35 Th-400 LOS
69 Pace Car L48 Th-350 LOS
68 Z28 M21 LOS

Can you send more info as to why you believe it is a Z?   Tags real but as Jim stated nothing there other than build date, body sequence, color and interior.  Tag looks to have been removed or at the very least attempted to be.

The VIN is 124378N422879 and it was on ebay back in August of 2015 by seller horseracin4fun and at that time it had a restamped engine.

Sorry, I should have clarified - the tag is actually on a Z.  I was checking on expert opinions based on the tag situation it was real or if anything was concerning about it.

From the body number. And how do you know it's a Z? What documentation do you have?

I have no documentation - I guess that is what I'm trying to determine if, in fact, it is a true Z/28.

Unfortunately the 68 cars were bare minimum on information for options.  Interior color and exterior color. Nothing else.
You could upload the rear axle, transmission and engine information to start. However as Ed states, the engine is a restamp.

You'll need to post good, high resolution pictures (or email them to me) of the following:

1. VIN
2. Engine pad stamp located on the front passenger side of the block
3. Transmission suffix / date code located on the driver side of the transmission toward the front
4. Rear axle suffix / date code stamped on the front of the passenger side axle tube
5. Rear axle date code cast into the center section

Without documentation it's impossible to determine a 68 Z28. You can do a "best guess" by the above, but you can never be absolutely positive.
