Seat Belt Restore
« on: May 16, 2023, 09:13:08 PM »
Looking for a source for seat belt restoration. All my belts are dated to my car, 02D build and cloth tags on belts is A-69’. All mechanisms are in good shape, mostly discoloration on the belts. Belt above drivers is some tear, and frayed, the shoulder belt. If 1 of ya has a remedy for coloring might could try myself, would be greatly appricated! God Bless.

I've heard that the vendor below does a good job in restoring seat belts, although I haven't used them:

^^ Well, Be "PREPARED".  The worse condition and demanding you are the Cost Skyrocket, Tags, Plating, Webbing (Insured), Plastisol coating, Repair parts, Replacement items,

Remember Quality COSTS.

I Was Very pleased as my 68 Deluxe complete set was Trashed and required a substantial investment in a critical Safety item

FWIW, I think my deluxe belts ran about $1,000 nearly ten years ago.

Sorry but I think that is absolutely ludicrous.

I don't disagree, but they are perfect, including the labels. If you're doing a high level restoration, I don't know of an alternative. If you just want restoration parts, there are certainly more affordable options available. However, I doubt any are the same quality.
