Does anyone recognisie this car?

(1/1)

1109RWHP:
It was owned and driven in several Trans-Am races by John Elliott, a car salesman at Preston Hood Chevrolet in Fort Walton Beach, FL. It was co-driven by Don Gwynne in the 1970 and 1971 Daytona 24 Hour and the 1970 and 1971 Sebring 12 Hour.

SMKZ28:
Jon can comment further but according to the Ultimate Racing History web site it looks like John Elliott raced the car in the midwestern Trans Am races between 1970 and 1972.  He participated at Road America (1970-1972), Mid-Ohio (1970-1972) and Michigan International Speedway (1971).  The third photo you posted was taken at Road America during the 1970 Trans Am race.  It is the section just before turn 5.  A few more photos of the car in this event can be seen in Reply #8 in the following thread: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=8763.0

One of my favorite sources of information is the Racing Sports Cars website.  https://www.racingsportscars.com/

Here's the search for John Elliott.  https://www.racingsportscars.com/driver/archive/John-Elliott-USA.html

Includes a couple of pictures not shown above.

1109RWHP:
Thanks for the replies. I was wondering if John or the car are still around.

Jon Mello:
I spoke with John Elliott several years back.  I don't think the car has been located.
