GM Is Investing Almost $1 Billion in New V8 Engines
« on: January 21, 2023, 05:17:46 PM »
Seems that the big bosses at GM want to keep the V8 alive and well. They don't want no stinking electric. I am sure they will have many, but knowing the V8 will be pumping for a while longer is good to hear. Danny

Maybe I am just old and delusional, but I don't see the EV market as robust as others seem to think it is. Our electrical grid is barely limping along as it is with limited EV's. We need a lot more ways to generate electricity before EV's will be a meaningful share of all vehicle production.

This goes 100% against of what the president of GM said a few weeks ago. Regardless, unless you continually buy new GM cars or trucks, it will never effect you.

I get the gist of electric transportation, but the infrastructure is not ready at all.  Plus - think about it - what does it take to make these batteries?  What does it take to make the electricity to charge these things.  What happens in ten years when its time to replace the battery - you have the $$ to replace it?  Who's gonna recycle it?

Sorry - not for me.
