124379N502097

N502097 was final assembled on or about September 5, 1968. Car has an 01B body tag, second week January 1969. One or both tags are not original to the car; hidden VINs may not match.

I don’t get the “RS Tribute”.

From the pics looks like an original, post 1 Jan 1969, RS with the base 307 (which was introduced Jan ‘69) and would at least make sense with an 01B trim tag.  Rear spoiler, no front spoiler and it looks like the stovepipe from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner snorkel is missing,

The VIN makes no sense but from the pics nothing stands out as a sign of tampering with the dash or cowl.

Just looks like a well kept driver that was detailed nicely for auction.

If you click on “See full description”, it states:  “Description coming soon - call for details.”  A curiosity to say the least.

As William stated - check partial VINs.
