Anyone know the car?
How much restoration?
Int appears original and the stripe on the pass side has mismatched stencil application -makes it original appearing anyone know if the car was completely restored or ? ? ?
However the fenders appear like there is just too much paint on them inside the engine compartment. PLus the firewall and PTB stamps are too uniform

wow..  First I've heard of that car.  Green car has the same stripe tape issue.  Wish I had one of this set of Tigerpaws.  Car is 1 week before mine as well.  The photo shown on that car has the overlap on the drivers side but green car's is on the pass fender.  I don't have a photo on my phone but here's the drivers fender.

Pretty sure it's the same car pictured in Jason Scott's book "Original Camaro 1967-1969". Not much description of it other than L78 and the misaligned stripe on the driver side (photo in the book) is a dead ringer. :)

I edited the post above for clarification. The photo in the book matches Mecum's (im)perfectly. :)

On a side note Darrell, how many 68 L78/RS do you figure were built? Guy over at TC was inquiring....https://www.camaros.net/threads/number-of-1968-rs-ss-l78-camaros.484435/#post-1783314659

The L78 was owned by Brent Roby of Ohio for many years. Used to see it at the very early Camaro meets. Always a very nice car..

Hard to say and I don't really like giving estimates on production totals.  Paul (fsc66) might be able to break down ECL's and get a rough number but I'm sure its time consuming not worth it just for a guy to say he has 1 of X built..  People should just be happy to own a Camaro much less trying to make it seem more special than it already is in todays market.   But not everyone has the same mentality..

But when considering a purchase (or selling) as the OP was in the link I posted, rarity often translates to desirability which increases the value....just sayin'. And sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread here. Was just curious if you knew something I didn't regarding L78 production numbers.

My comments shouldn’t be taken the wrong way.  My point was this is a hobby for many of us and it’s a passion not a business or money making venture.
