I think I prefer the Butternut Yellow (1.7%) over Daytona Yellow (6.7%).

Only three in the db, two have black vt.

Butternut Yellow became an extra-cost option as of January 2, 1969. It was available on intro day but quickly dropped; few early BN cars were built.

Champagne [63] is much rarer.

BNY is probably one of my favorite factory colors, but I'm a fan of the less popular colors. I've got a friend with a Champagne '69 convertible 6 cyl. That is a sharp car as well.

I know I really like Butternut Yellow, LOL......
Black really helps set it off IMO.

No way to tell how many Z28s were that color, or L78s, or L48s, etc.

Colors aren’t broken down by options or engines.

Shame there's no good pic of the trim tag to verify authenticity. Wonder if that's an aftermarket fiberglass hood on the car - sure does fit poorly. If it is an original, I can see why hood pins were often a part of the deal. Those puny springs they installed on this one are a dead giveaway, outside of the fit.

Although not my favorite color, I can't deny how good that looks.

Back in the 1980's in LA I saw a few BY Camaro's (and Chevelle's). At that time, I really did not like the color. However, as I got older, I especially have come to like it.
Just another T/A fanatic. Current lifelong projects:

Rarely seen color, especially on a Z28. That car sits kind of high.

For 1967, BY was fairly popular for Z's with nearly 10% built out of 15 factory colors available. With the new and more exciting colors for 68 and 9, it's not surprising that its popularity diminished. When you do one right as Chick showed above, BY is impossible not to like!

Despite it's issues, the topic 69 looks pretty good in that color.

I like BY on a 68 (there is one in California I was considering), just looks great, will go see it when I get out there in next months.  I just can not warm up to the 69 in this color. The 68 more streamlined body just wears it well. My wife would throw up all over that if I brought that home. Consider maybe taking a step back on why few were made. There is likely a reason.
But I am sure it will sell high as its rare.

wait wait wait, I take that all back, my black car is rarer in color than that, so forget my comment on rare not always being desirable.....just shot myself in the foot!!!
