I would check with Gardner Exhaust and if you are not looking for dead on stock, Pypes in Hatfield, Pa. has a real nice system for these cars.  Sam

I have a Stainless Works system that I purchased many, many years ago.  The fit was perfect and it is slightly louder than stock, but not too much.  If you are looking to go stainless, I would suggest this system.

I ordered an exhaust system from Gardner.most of the other brand required modification for conv.
it suppose to fit no problems on convertible with the original look.
I'll keep you all posted.

Gardner systems are the best.......case closed.  Ask any of the top resto shops or Diamond judges in the country.  All of the cars that come through the "Legend" concours judging have a Gardner system, and if they don't, there are point deductions.

Sebastion:

How didi it go with the Gardner exhaust? I have a 68 convertible that will be getting new exhaust soon. I'm most concerned with fit and sound .I'm looking for something a little louder than stock.

Mike.

I'll keep you all posted.

I have a Gardner exhaust on my 69 convertible and it is the best system available. Sounds great, looks great and easy to install.

Does anyone have experience with a Flowmaster system? Do they made a full system from exhaust manifold back or do their mufflers fit standard pipes?
