Does this one look legit? Z10 69
« on: December 10, 2021, 10:45:08 PM »
Is this this an authentic Z10 396 car? I know the motor and probably most of drivetrain is not, then again, kind of like the engine setup.

Ad mentions the original drivetrain was long gone from the car - no way to know if it was originally a BB without corresponding paperwork. Trim tag appears genuine, except for the fact the B-J tattoo is pasted right over the area where the Z10 stamp would be. Difficult to see it.

B-J should know better, they incorrectly pegged the Zone limitations for the Z10 distribution (6 states instead of four), and still called it a Pace Car, either of which is not accurate. The Z10 is a promotional car, was never a Pacer. Maybe they should have asked J.M. before writing the bio on this one.
