Heat Riser Position
« on: November 12, 2021, 02:28:34 AM »
I'm ready to install a new exhaust on my car and wondering if there was ever a consensus on how the heat riser is installed?
Is the weight near the frame rail or under the exhaust manifold.???????

I saw pics of so called original engine bays and saw them installed both ways - what's the deal folks?????

Thanks!!!

This is how it is depicted in the 1969 Camaro Assembly Manual, Section C6 page 6.

Original photo of a '68 Z/28 engine bay.
