Replacement Transmission Line Fitment
« on: March 15, 2021, 11:14:18 PM »
Anybody actual replace their transmission lines with pre-bent aftermarket ones from a major supplier. This is my second set and they really don't line up well at the radiator. At the trans they're good, but at the rad the openings are 12.5" apart and the lines are 9" apart. I bent the first set to fit, wasn't happy with the results, ordered a second, they are the same. Thanks

We have ordered 5 fuel lines for my brother's 73 Z28... none of them fit, nor do they match the piece of the original I have, I too cannot figure out why things cannot be made correctly today when they were made correct 50 years ago.

Ask yourself WHERE the originals were made vs WHERE the reproductions are made.   And, from my experience most USA made reproduction parts are MUCH more accurate than oversees offerings.  Who knows what the foreign "production facility" looks like.  Could be a tin shed with a dirt floor somewhere.  It's all about CHEAP labor and processes.

Have you tried Classic Tube in New York?
They made my tank to pump fuel line and brake lines for my convertible and they fit like a glove.
They advertise 'Made in USA'
