In my opinion because there was not a FIFO inventory system it looks like they could have been cycling through inventory to get rid of older units --- perhaps contemplating the change in 70 to the 661 case muncie transmissions.
Given previous circumstances June Assembly would have been the time to do it, - ie. if the model year change over were to occur after July Production ended.
