Is it known what the "production date" on NCRS docs represents; e.g., beginning or end of production on the Fisher side, beginning or end of production on the Chevrolet side, final assembly or perhaps shipping date?

IMO it means the date that the car completes/finishes production, and is released for shipping.

My NCRS report shows a production date of 06/26/69.  Car was purchased on 06/30/69 in Pa.  Thats a quick sale.  Bob

That would certainly make sense to be completion date in your case.

Mine (Van Nuys) doesn't seem to be as clear when considering the time it took to build and assemble the cars. To be my completion date would mean my car was at least 2-1/2 days ahead of schedule and started in a different week. If my car was on schedule, the NCRS date would represent the date received on the Chevrolet side.
