No flywheel dust cover? I only noticed because I was underneath my Z for a while today...

Killer color combo for sure.

As Close as I've ever seen.  :D  Only interior is different. Wouldn't it have come originally with chambered?

Subject car.

Who lists a Z for six figures and does NOT include pics of trim tag or engine stamp or rear stamp or trans stamp?

Another vintage Camaro with lots of photos and no original documents or previous owner history.

In my view, its a beautiful Camaro. 'I' am no Z/28 expert (Im learning!!), so what is 'incorrect' or 'correct' I can not comment. That said, most of these wheeler dealer pitchmen have no clue on pretty much of ALL the cars they list for sale, no matter the brand/model.

the 'red' on that car did look brighter and more brilliant than garnet red generally appears, but I attributed it to the white stripes, roof, and interior...?

The white might help make it more red, but I agree - not Garnet Red.

Cars built prior to late october could not have a suffix code (A B C) on the transmission. IIRC Oct 18 or 20th  is the first day of trans suffix codes.

I also thought the red was to bright, but I am guessing they doctor the photos for brilliance to get them to pop, and bring buyers in.

That is correct. Also, the white will make the red 'pop' even more. Also, nice lighting makes a huge difference. This is coming from my trade as a cameraman.

From the drivetrain decoding section...

  1969 Muncie 4-speed only:
          A = M20
          B = M21     Use of the Muncie type suffix
          C = M22     began with 21 Oct 68 production.

Imo, for what it's worth, this dealer is fishing. 99% of them know nothing about these cars but they look at what other dealers ask and always go above because they think they  can sell it. I think it'll be sitting on his floor for a while.  To each his own but I don't like the colors any way. Red reminds me of a fire truck on '69s  ;D. Red looks much better on the 67/68 cars, imo. That particular red actually looks a bit darker to me - maybe it's the clear on it that makes it pop. Factory paint was sprayed using enamel, quick and dirty. Orange peel and runs were the norm.

Incorrect. Camaros were painted with acrylic lacquer. Only wheels were painted with enamel.
