Shock paint
« on: December 27, 2020, 06:10:43 PM »
Does anybody have a mix formula or code for the Delco Products grey in a single stage paint? I know there are spray bombs out there, but would like something a bit more durable with a hardener in the mix.  Maybe firstgenaddict?

I appreciate you posting this, James, but I've come to find out that the local Nason jobber closed doors due to Covid and the Cincinnati store (50 miles) only keeps bankers hours and really only wants to do deliveries to local shops, no walk-ins!

I even called Nason and they referred me to their "local" dealer which was O-Reilly Auto Parts.  When I went there they laughed and said they could order a gallon of white, black or primer and that's it.  No mixing.

I defaulted to the Quanta shock paint which i think is a re-packaged Seymore spray-bomb stuff.

Thanks, though.  Hope it helps others.

That sucks, over the phone the jobber should have been able to mix it in a rattle can with the puncture catalyst - bill your credit card  and then send it to you. No touch no store hours.

I use Finish Masters and they are crazy with the vertical shields etc - during the height they would not allow anyone in the store they did everything on the front stoop under the awning - since at least Nov the store has been open with limited occupancy maybe 6-8 customers - 6 ft spacing - with masks - they do keep bankers hours at Finish Masters, never thought about it.  My local store is 9 miles from the house and about the same from my shop.
