It must be the lighting in the photos, but when I looked at that add and they said rare color, I thought it was butternut yellow.

It's a shame, really nice looking Camaro. Wonder why the bidding ended?

Hi, I'm new to the Z crowd and am trying to learn as much as I can.  Can you elaborate on some of the "stuff that was wrong" with the car?  I'm also on a Porsche forum and it is common practice to help future buyers of things that are wrong with "for sale Porsches", especially when the seller does not disclose the fault or fraudulently says something.

If this is against the forum rules, I appologize.

Be safe

The ad is back with a BIN of $84,500.

-body tag an obvious reproduction
-incorrect ride height
-incorrect F70 x 15 Polyglas tires; mis-matched spare tire
-missing RS headlamp washer system
-incorrect Hurst shifter; should not have locknut
-missing clock
-too early for 8000 rpm tach & NK1 steering wheel
-incorrectly positioned ZL2 relay
-dipstick should be natural finish, not orange
-brake lines a mess, aftermarket distribution block
-incorrect horns
-incorrect radiator cap
-PCV hose incorrectly routed
-missing AIR system
-incorrect air cleaner seal flange; seal inverted
-service replacement carb w/incorrect stud
-bottom of hood incorrectly painted
-transmission not original to car; has another VIN stamp
-poor fitting body panels
-other paint and fastener issues

Data sheet lists engine stamping as V1218DZ. Stamping appears to be V1231DZ. No opinion on stamp as pad should not be painted.

Tach/gauges includes a clock in the middle of the dash. Wrong tire size. Door panels too fluffy. Seat belts, male side is deluxe. Female side is standard. Floor pan over restored (no overspray). Too much paint on bellhousing & engine. Seal on air cleaner is upside down & has the wrong ring to support it. Smog is missing. Wrong tach. Some of the brake parts are wrong. Replacement carb. Bottom of hood painted wrong. Those are obvious things. I'm sure I missed others...Joe
