what brand of hood insulation pads has  any one been using with good fit

It isn't installed yet, but this one came recommended.  I believe you have to buy through a vendor.  They can be found on their "About" webpage.  I had mine delivered/brought to a swap meet to avoid freight cost.

The molded insulation is the one to buy, it is more expensive and must be shipped truck freight vs the non molded, however if correctness is desired, molded is the only way to go.

Completely concur with the molded hood insulation. Will run you close to $100, plus about $100 shipping. I got mine from National Parts Depot. Pics attached. This variant works for both flat and SS hood. They have different one available for the cowl hood.
