Was the N34 "sports styled" steering wheel the same as the "deluxe steering wheel" that was included in the Z87 interior package?  Which one was the "wooden wheel" (plastic to look like wood)?  Thanks for any help.

N34 was the simulated wood wheel. It was an independent option...Joe

You've got N34 confused with N30. On the CRG homepage under interiors read Ed's report on steering wheels:

Thanks for the link.  I think I have it sorted out now:

The N30:

was available as a stand-alone option for standard interior cars and was included with RPO Z23 special interior or RPO Z87 custom interior options.

The N34:

was the simulated walnut, wood-grained plastic wheel.

My last question, if you ordered the Z87 interior package that normally came with the N30, you could also order the N34 as a stand online option to replace the N30, correct?  I'm trying to figure out if my car came with the Z87 package.  It has all the items in the package but also has the N34 steering wheel.

Yes, N34 was a stand alone option. But there are a lot of repo N34s. You should post a picture of your wheel.

The trim tag will tell which interior it came with.

The interior trim code is 714, on the trim tag.

Although the picture is dark (making the steering wheel appear even darker than it probably is), that appears to be the correct N34 wheel for 1967 and 1968.

I don't know, Ed - the '63-'67 Corvette walnut wheel looks just like it, except with a single piece center stamping (with the '68 having a two piece). You can't see under the cap on this N34, could be correct, but it has the suggestion of being a 1 piece center. Side view or horn cap removed would be the tell - and I hope the OP has an original N34 car, reason being: My '68 has the N30 wheel, bright interior trim, walnut dash center, on a 712 trim tag. I wish it had been an N34, as the N30 wheels are notorious for cracking, shrinking and separating over the last 50 + years, and are very difficult to locate in good shape (I found one guy that recasts the N30's, about $1600.00). Repaired N30's struggle to look good due to the "ribs" being difficult to maintain the proper spacing when reworked. I would have preferred mine was an N34 equipped car, rather than the N30 -

Corvette wheels I believe have a different dish depth to them over a Camaro unit. That picture is dark, making the walnut look darker than normal. My 68 was and still is equipped with its original N34 simulated wood wheel and is much brighter in color. Also the 67 Camaro N34 has the overlap spoke requiring the hub that is notched out for it.

I believe the dish is the same - the biggest difference is the '67-'68's two piece construction of the center. The plastic does tend to darken with age and handling (and dirt). Ed's report states the evolution -
