Camaro sunoco 1969 tribut
« on: May 05, 2020, 09:55:51 AM »
Hello.
I am currently on my project to build a camaro sunoco from 1969.
I want it to be as fair as possible.
Thanks in advance for all the help I read on this fantastic forum.
-------------------------------
I started on an already modified 1969 camaro base, but many things need to be reviewed and redone.
You will recognize the car for some ...
Soon I will post photos and comment on progress ...
Good morning all ... :D

here is the camaro as it arrived in Switzerland.
It presented well ... but too many defects, and not the right color ...

Try looking at some of the NASCAR/Sportsman outlets. They usually have them.

You could have put it in the Trans am section, but the moderators can move it if they deem it necessary. Great work so far. Where did you source the metal you used for the hood?

Modification of the safety cage, with the addition of a bar towards the front chassis ...
I made it removable in case of problem.
The safety bars in the passenger compartment are also removable for approval on the road.

The all gray finishes were done originally to be able to easily spot oil leaks right?

I mounted a ZL1 in a 1968 camaro.
And my camaro will receive a DONOVAN cross-ram aluminum SB.

In the meantime, here are the latest advances for the baby.
The bodywork has been completely taken over, the front and rear fender edges have been reduced to a minimum.
and the car is finally painted in the famous Sunoco Blue.

Good morning all,
I come back to you for your help.
Despite a lot of research, I did not find this SCCA stabilizer bar mounted above the chassis.
Does anyone know of one for sale or where can I find one?
Nascar or other suppliers do not adapt. :-\
Thank you in advance...

Agree, the paint is awesome. The wheels appear to be Western Wheels, or Shelby 'Europia' Mini Lite types?

These are not minilites, they are ten spoke ultralites that were already on the car.
I have on order minilite, eight spokes to replace. ;D
