WOW! NICE paint job. But this thing is scary. Funny to see the hand peening on the trans all around the stamp. And that beautiful super clear VIN stamp on the block. I don't have the knowledge to comment on the front pad stamp. But gonna guess it's a restamp... Danny

Should have wood grain in steering wheel if rest of interior is correct? At least it's not a wood wheel.  ::)

Another curse of the 10-10 paint code Z28's. Pretty car, the stampings are not up to par with the rest of it.

"Broach marks" appear to have been laid out with a straight edge, far too numerous and way deep. I like the hand peining around the trans stamps - must have taken a few minutes of frantic pounding. JMO -

Steve

Yes, I agree. That tag looks like it was submerged for some time. Or in a car for years with the window gone. Sure is pretty. Danny

Agree it's a very pretty car, and at least they disclosed in the description that it was originally Dover White with std interior. But what does the trim tag show?
Looks like the passenger side e-brake cable might've been rubbing on the inside of the wheel......

That car sold for $236,500 (inc commission) BJ 2006 when is was white with standard black seats. I like it better now and it's half the price!

Ultra rare JL8, factory 4 wheel disc brakes, matching numbers "D2" 302 cubic inch engine with cross ram intake and carbs. 4 speed manual transmission, 12 bolt positraction rear axle, D80 spoiler equipment, center console with gauges, factory tachometer, deluxe vinyl roof and AM radio. Only 206 JL8 Camaros produced. Look long and close at this pristine example, perfect in every way.

Also wondering how rusty it was based on the severely pitted VIN tag. How much metal could be original?

1969 experts, is that dash VIN hole original? Something about reproductions are different on 69's. square corners vs rounded?

Original VIN holes have more rounded corners and rolled edges. AMD makes a dash with rounded corners but no rolled edges. Their stamping is also off, so the ViN plate is not centered in the hole. I just went through this on a replacement. Even if you graft in the old VIN plate area you can tell the dash top has been replaced because the speaker hole stamping is different between original and repro.

That car has left fender droop which very few take the time to correct, if they even know it is wrong. Not very good headlight door adjustment either.

Rear axle is clearly a restamp.

And the tube is in exceptionally nice shape, for a car that has a very pitted dash VIN tag
