I suspect that when it comes to 'painting on stripes' (versus appliques) that there is very significant variations from car to car (not everyone who owns Camaros, or paints them, is as 'anal' about original correctness as those of us here)... :)   There's probably variations in the reproduction appliques as well - compared to originals?

I saw a lot of what I liked about that 'yellow SS396' and it's documentation (although it's difficult to assess all this from photos)...

By the window sticker, it doesn't look like it had spoilers (surprise surprise). There is also no wheel option so it would've had XT & poverty caps. To see the build sheet better I did a save picture so I could enlarge it a little at a time. That front spring code (HR) isn't on any of the charts I have...Joe

How late was the long front fender stripe used in production for LA vs NOR?
I used the short stripe on the 12C NOR SS I did, now I question if it should have had the long stripe?

I had almost a twin to that except mag style hubcaps and power windows. Bought off orig. owners in Sacramento. Had sheepskin seat covers over the white houndstooth.
