Caveat Emptor...block stamp

From the ad:
"I have a correct rebuilt DZ302 engine, carb, air cleaner, and transmission that will come with the car to bring it back to a correct z28."
The DZ pad stamp in the photo does not compare with other Dec 1968 stampings. The car appears to be a real Z/28.

Anyone else have a concern with the VIN compared to tag build week? My 3E is N6284——, another guy, who lives close to me, has 3E N6257- -. Thinking this car’s tag is too late?

tag nor vin have been off the car. No telling why but more than likely delayed at factory.

I would be more concerned over an N628xxx/03E.
What Darrell said-orders released by Fisher could have remained in queue. Our 06E 67 Z/28 wasn't final-assembled until July12. Has a July 6th engine.

Tag date and VIN are fine. I don’t think it was held.
Plenty of other similar VIN/tag dated cars.
The 9N628- - car may have been held in the queue. .
