U.S. Marshals Auction Claims to be a '69 COPO
« on: October 17, 2019, 08:27:45 PM »
Discovered this on Apple Auctioneering from the U.S. Marshals.

https://appletowing.hibid.com/lot/56824116/1969-chevrolet-camaro/?q=&ref=catalog

Thought it'd be of some interest.  Claims to be a '69 COPO 9N635549.  I believe was last sold at Barrett-Jackson (AZ) in 2017 for $155K

https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1969-CHEVROLET-CAMARO-COPO--201487

Does anyone know more about this car ?

The car is part of a 150 car collection confiscated from the DC Solar collapse. Look on the link below for the auction dated 10-26, there are a whole bunch of Camaros already showing bids on the online auction. Some pretty nice cars, 7's, 8's and 9's -

http://appletowing.hibid.com/

You'll know you're in the right slot when you see "1 of 149 cars", with a Bandit styled Firebird pic. Open and browse the catalog tab, and get out your wallet if you're looking for a car to bid on.

I saw that car among others. A lot of cars, what a collection of autos. Sure you can leverage your business and purchase all of these classics, but I wonder where he kept them all???

I have my eye on a couple. Trying to figure out making a trip there to see them in person.

I suspect someone may get a good deal on it. But the more publicity the less likely it is a score. I am not sure my angle on that auction yet though. Trying to lay low in the bushes for now...😁

Great color combo -
Which engine does it have?
The Rear end is a CBE which if I am not mistaken is a late rear.

There Reserve Disclosure. Please note: there will not be a " Reserve Met" or " Reserve not Met" disclosure during the auction.

None of the drivetrain is original. Supposed to be a nice restoration.
