Camaro stolen/ camaro found
« on: September 20, 2019, 03:08:08 PM »
I saw this story recently posted on facebook. This owner is one of the few to actually get his car back.

https://www.wkyt.com/content/news/Morehead-family-recovers-valuable-vehicle-after-stolen-at-Tennessee-car-show-560737611.html?fbclid=IwAR0FeWTAlT-rnHK-Vbo1lm_ZYr49ZL8antoDHmbFg4WDNb9DHFMUjv8i8ps

If you watch the video in the link, it shows how the thieves hacked into the dash to hot wire it. what a mess. Also did a little damage to the rear passenger side rear.

Glad he got the car back, not sure about 60k they say the car is worth

Pigeon Forge Rod Run. I've heard lots of whispers about car thefts each year. I went last year, and paid to park my camaro in the car show lot which has an overnight guard.

talk about amateurs, guess they couldn't unplug the ignition harness. "I know we will use a hatchet to open the dash up, and then cut all the wires, until we hot wire it like they do in the movies."

A statement by the owners.  Maybe that's what they have in the resto.

I thought it said it was all original? but even so, I don't see 60k for a RS vert.
