Body number (from the trim tag) would be unique to a LOS-built car, or do you mean a firewall crayon sequence number, often 3 digits?

The 'crayon marking' as the body moves thru the plant is generally referred to as 'sequence number'... as in my Camaro has '18' on the LHS shoulder (under the fender)...

Not for 1969. Both plants were on the same order entry system.

Yep that didn't come across as intended; what I meant was that LOS production ended well before NOR production saw the body numbers reset around the (anticipated) end of model year, and so there couldn't be 2 LOS '69 Camaros with the same body number, unlike NOR.

P165 =    P represents the 21st of April (assuming April is the month the body was built);  The 21st of April is the 16th production day (corresponding to the P).    165th body to be built that day...   so body was built 3 days prior to final auto assembly completion day (24 April)...

if I did this right??   I don't normally see LOS cars in my area...
