Well spotted! Nice looking car, especially amongst all the Citroen/Peugeot/Renault locals.

What is interesting to me is the yellow/orange reverse lights in the originally posted photo.

cook_dw & MO,  I think the orange/yellow reverse lights  were required on Camaros sold in France, the other thing was that '67-'69

 RS cars sold in France by the regulations had to have extra lights behind the grill. I made an inquiry on a French forum I frequent

 and got this answer, image below, also a pic of a '67 RS in a hill climb in France that shows these lights behind the grill.

Here's another '67 Camaro RS convertible at a hill climb in France, the lights behind the grill are more visible.

Convertibles were used in hill climbs often, never mind he's wearing a helmet, no roll cage ! different times !

Mike, I've known about the added headlights, but the backups are a new twist. Question; were standard grille cars required to have the extra set of headlights too? If so, were they mounted in front or behind the grille? I know I've seen pics of cars with extra lights mounted on the grille face for night races. Just curious if it's known if they were required in Europe/France.

In france the law said you must be able to flash you’re headlights quickly witch is not compatible with the RS doors.

So the french import where sold with these extra highbeams lights , but i have never seen others french original import without RS option.
Without the Rs and the doors , it’s not necessary to add extra headlights, just a switch to flash highbeams.

Most of these french import cars are L30 with Rs and a  lot of options included....like mine.(see my signature)
Mine seems to hever have the extra headlights , no hole for the switch below the contact comutator, no brackets no holes for the lights.
Maybe because it’s one or maybe the first imported in france.  11B  french license 01/15/67

Philip, thanks for the clarification. I thought that was probably the case, but thought I'd ask anyway. I actually thought it might be because if the doors failed to operate you'd have no headlights. So the added lights would be a failsafe of sorts.

Just came across these images while trolling the net, '67 Camaro convertible, aprox 1970 Paris France. You can just see those extra

 red lights in the rear pan in the tighter image. Driver seems distracted by the lady in the short skirt on the sidewalk, or maybe the

 one on the balcony above the Simca sign, he'd better keep his eyes on the road   ;)
