I missed the re-discovery of a local car. It made it out after storage for 40 years. I have known Glen since meeting him at a PNWCC Show in the late 80's and he ALWAYS talked about a Red car I never would see (or See photo's) . Even tho I missed its re-emergence I look forward to seeing it at a Puget sound show sometime this year.

Here is the Note I got with the pics.
"This is the ‘69 Z/28 my brother-in-law Dick owned from 1971-73, when he sold it to Glen of Bainbridge Island…who still owns it. I wanted to buy it in 1973 but had to sell another car to do so, and that didn’t happen. I tried to talk Glen out of it in 2016, after it had sat in his garage for nearly 40 years. Glen wouldn’t sell, but he did (surprisingly) clean it up and begin driving it again. I believe it is still running the balanced and blueprinted 360 HP 350 LT1 that I and Dick installed in 1972.
The only paint that is not original is the LH quarter, which was replaced/repainted in early 1973."

I sure hope I can crawl around this one and maybe even get a ride. Sorry if this sounds like a broken record-

OK, I got a 1972 photo when my "Buddies" (B-I-L) brother-in-law owned it
VINTAGE shot.

Notes: This is Ole' speaking;
"Here is my brother-in-law’s ’69 Z/28, circa 1972. Photo was taken at his parents home in Magnolia (Seattle).

Car at the time was equipped with a balanced and blueprinted LT1 with a Tarantula intake, Hooker Headers and a Holley 750 DP. It had a Crower solid lifter cam, Scheifer RevLoc Clutch, Scheifer billet flywheel, Ansen explosion proof bellhousing, Ansen Ground Grabber traction bars and genuine Ansen wheels. It had a iron case close ratio T-10, Hurst shifter, 3.73 gears and Exhaust Specialties pipes. I put the car together for him. It was VERY FAST.
The Z has now been sitting in a garage on Bainbridge for over 40 years and probably has less than 25,000 total miles on it."

I will ask Ole's If he knows the 302 demise story.

Pretty cool, Jim.  Thanks for sharing the pics and the story.  Glad to see this one resurface after such a long time.
