I don't know about the tag but if you're going to 100k, there's a long list of things I don't like including the block stamps.....Joe

Looks like the tag at the drivers window is stamped? Shouldn't that be embossed? Lots of repro stuff, clamps, hoses etc. Too bad, nice paint job. Probably not even an original black RS. Danny

Another FORD caution fan sticker on a chevrolet. Wish the chevrolet Retailers would stop advertising these as a Chevrolet product. Can’t go to a single car show without seeing them prominently displayed on Chevrolets.......

I hate to tell you this, and I'm assuming that you've taken the car as a consignor, but this car isn't a real Z28. The engine is a restamp, the documents are fake, the trim tag is a reproduction and the list goes on and on. I know this because I have the original Protecto-Plate for this car (see attached). The car started life as a base LF7 (327/210) with a Powerglide automatic transmission and a 2.73:1 standard 10 bolt rear axle. You might want to let bidders/buyers know this as to avoid possible legal problems in the future.

Let's see if he replies or if anything changes in the auction.

 Funny you say that, Paul. That was the first thing that caught my eye.
There is a car collector I know and he has a 67 that is very nicely restored and it too has the 'Caution' sticker.
During a discussion, at one of the car shows we attend, about the restoration I had asked why he put a non-GM sticker on the shroud.
He was quick to say that is how it comes and I diplomatically and politely said how GM did not place that on the Camaro when it left the factory, which isn't to say the dealer may have apply it later. He disagreed with me and asked me how would I know if I didn't work at the factory. That's usually when I realize it's pointless to try to convince otherwise and change the topic.
