Hi Again , I need more help. Can you please tell me if these trim rings and centers look like the original type. I have a 68 SS with Disc . The rims are 14x6 and the bs is 3 7/8 code XG. I see what looks like K-1-9  is that like Nov 1 69 ???  Thank you Emo

I see no pictures but XG is correct for 1968 and 1969 with disc brakes and rally wheels. The date code of K19 is (K) Kelsey-Hayes, (1) Romulus, MI plant, (9) 1969. There should also be two more numbers on each side of the valve stem hole. Those indicate the month and day the wheels were assembled.

Ok, you're looking at 12-18 so December 18th, 1969 (XG rims were also used on the 1970 Nova), but the trim rings aren't correct, and the caps are 1967 only.

Not sure but would assume correct wheels for your car would have large font and no date around valve stem, just the whl code in large font. Inside portion of rim month and year bot not seen with tire mounted. Date coding or much of it started mostly after your car was built. The trim rings as mentioned are much later service replacements.

Thank you Vince. So what your saying I might as well just go buy new rims because no one can see it anyway. I already bought E-70-14 redlines when it was suppose to be F-70-14. I'll just buy new rims. Thanks everyone.
