Is there a difference in a Canadian book
versus a US book?

I have seen  the same part with different numbers or the part number is the same but the group number is different.

Yes, the Canadian books are way more organized.
In a group number, there might be several parts, let's say a cable, pin, and linkage. In the US books, they are lumped together. In the Canadian, the cables are grouped (and labeled), then the pins, then the linkage. Since there's so little description sometimes, this is very helpful.
