Forgot about the rockers paint. But just scuff it, tape it off and shoot both sides in one shot. Not a lot of labor, not a major paint matching thing and NO body work. Four hours labor and 60 bucks in material. Not enough of a devalue issue for me. Heck, the TIRES would cost more at $340 EACH!!.. His last car went to Australia, and he hated it. And was really hoping to keep it local, or at least in CA or the states if possible. Danny

Why is he selling it, if he wants to keep it local?

I think what it boils down to is, he just would prefer if it stayed over here, that's all. His SS350 went overseas and he was bummed about it. Danny

The documentation of the stripe color is via GM.  It's not a secret....

Car is overpriced in my opinion, but exactly how much is up for debate. Seems like a nice car though.

A Hugger Orange Z28 without a vinyl top is supposed to have white stripes, so the stripes are correct.

Owner should have never bought a reproduction window sticker.  It has enough other documentation and it has Jerry's report.

With all due respect, and I DO respect most people on these Camaro sites. If in your knowledgeable authoritative statement the car is over priced, ya can't leave it at that. How would you KNOW it's over priced if you don't have the knowledge to price it correctly? If it's up for debate, who's going to run the debate? The person that said it's over priced.. RIGHT? What say you, the price should be...? And you can't say you can't price it without seeing it, cause ya just UNDER priced it. I would love to get it for 65K, maybe even $72. Is that top dollar? I don't have the knowledge to say. Not to many ORIGINAL 34 thousand mile cars out there with fold down rear seat, ESPECIALLY Z/28's. Just 15 to 18 years ago you could buy '69 Z/28's all day for 35K. They have doubled, and might climb another branch soon.
As far as window stickers, I have wanted to order one for each of my cars for a while now. And when I get a chance to do it, it will happen. I have MCACN judging on BOTH cars, and a Jerry M cert for one. And the next time Jerry comes to Northern CA I will be glad to have him cert the new car. I think the stickers are fun to have and display. Just adds that extra fun visual. I know MANY people on these sites and I see at car shows with repro window stickers. Chick has his for his Butternut Yellow '68 Z/28, and I am sure it will be in the side window in 19 days at the MCACN show. I will have the guy that makes the stickers to print the words "FAKE WINDOW STICKER" right on it as one of the options..  ;)  I just wanted to help this guy out, and maybe have a member or a members friend scoop this car up. Bummer is, he won't take, not even 75K for it. Danny

The only way to get black stripes on a hugger orange 69 Z/28 was to order a black vinyl roof.

As they say a car is worth what someone would pay for it. Not my favorite color but if it was I might. I think Danny really likes this one and he could be “someone”

Danny if you want the car - go buy it.

I gave you my honest opinion. If you don’t like it, sorry.

Pay somebody’s expenses and their inspection/appraisal fee.  See what they say.

An appraisal from 2009 is not valid for the current market in my opinion.  Is that what the seller is basing their price on or what?

If it was priced right, it would have already been sold, again IN MY OPINION.

And it's Hugger Orange....

X2

-The car has been for sale previously, and did not sell. Was it priced to high, probably.
-Perhaps the right buyer did not see it posted last time.
-*Or the Ebay market doesn't contain as many buyers of such a car or priced range.

Orange can give a 69Z a bump up, but in other auctions it may be looked at as a detractor.

I have no problem with orange cars.  In fact my first car was orange - or Carousel Red to be exact. Same color as Hugger Orange. I have been trying to buy it back for several years, but the current owner will not sell.

I just meant that it is Hugger Orange versus "Huggar" which was how it was spelled in the title of the first post.

That was me that spelled it Huggar. Like I mentioned in past posts, if I had the room and the scratch, I would buy it. But I can't. I saw Jerry's report with all the info that was blocked out with baby post-its in the eBay ad. I don't think I need to pay someone thousands of dollars to appraise it. It is probably at the top of the market value. Someone once told me to not go into debt to buy a car from the 60's, but of course, that ship has sailed. And will be at sea for 6 more years.

Could someone please give me the info on when this car was posted for sale the previous time. Thanx... Danny

I will see if I can find it. Seems like it was a couple of years ago?
(I remember the post it's on Jerrys report)

I also remember at the time he wanted a lot, I thought less than 82k though.

a quick search shows an ad was placed on July 20th of 2017, but then was pulled. I did not see a price though.

Ebay links don't work as well as they once did, so I was unable to find the old listing.
