Itís just a month different from the stamping, so it seems reasonable.

I would not have seen a six. But know that seems right too.  Is that in the norm for the date of the car ?
And the date of the tube stamp ?

So when I first started posting about my car. Someone kept wanting this pic. Said it would go along way to help prove z or ss.  Now what?   Lol z or ss?????????

Chris, uh - no. If that was me, I believe that I said the STAMPED code. The casting date does help a little but only supporting the BW assembly date stamp.

What else do you want? You have no docs and 68s are hard to verify. You document as many original parts as possible - thatís your supporting evidence. Itís most likely a Z28. The parts you have posted along with the production date align with being a Z.

You could hire Jerry M. to inspect, document and appraise the car.
