69 Camaro seat foam question
« on: April 05, 2018, 06:34:56 PM »
On a standard interior, Has anyone removed the springs from the seat back and just used the seat foam with the springs made into the foam?

Here are some pictures. After cleaning and painting the frame I installed a new bottom spring assembly. The back foam with the integrated springs just went right over the back frame and had muslin glued to it that just hog ringed in place. I still have the passenger seat to do so I could take more pictures if others wanted to see it.

Looks good. I was unaware they made foam with the springs built in. I have re-apolstered Mustang seats, haven't had to do a camaro, (yet)

Did you compare the set spring (bottom) old and new to see if there was a difference in the side bolster?

Your seats look great, they are nice and full. the side bolsters look great on both.

I still wish someone would reproduce the seat covers with the white stitches like the originals.

Good point James. Did original rear seat covers have the White stitching like the front? Mice snacked on mine long ago.
