Multiple white and orange 1969 Camaro RS/SS Z11 convertibles were used in the Indy 500 Festival Memorial Parade held in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 1969.  This event took place two days before the 53rd running of the Indianapolis 500.

I found this one somewhere on Facebook a few years ago.

UPDATE:  Since I posted this photo comments later in this thread demonstrate that it was not taken in Indianapolis during the Festival Parade.  First of all the car does not have the distinctive Festival decal and second, in reference to the writing on the front fender, CRG member "bergy" stated that "Nishan Spalding Chevrolet was a Michigan dealer located not to far from Berger Chevrolet."  I believe both were located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Perhaps the photo was taken in Grand Rapids during a Memorial Day parade or some other civic happening.

The first photo shows qualified Row 4 drivers Dan Gurney, Joe Leonard and Art Pollard.  Gurney started 10th and finished in 2nd place.  Leonard started 11th and finished in 6th.  Pollard started 12th but only completed 7 laps and was classified with a 31st place finish.

The 3rd & 4th photos show Mario Andretti and Bobby Unser.  Not sure why the other member of Row 1 A.J. Foyt was not in the car.  Andretti started 2nd and won the race.  Bobby Unser started and finished in third.  Foyt started on the pole and finished in 8th place.

Funny that "Nishan Spalding Chevrolet" in reply #1 was a Michigan dealer located not to far from Berger Chevrolet.  They delivered my 69 FG COPO Camaro.

Interesting!  I did notice that that car did not have the Festival decal on it.  Perhaps it was mislabled and it was not taken at the Festival Parade in Indianapolis.  Doesn't make sense for a Michigan car dealer to be at this event.

A search on wikipedia for Grand Rapids Police Department led me to this photo on wikipedia.  It sure looks like the same building.  Notice the stone wall.  It seems to be the same.  The caption for the photo states, "Grand Rapids Hall of Justice on Monroe Avenue."  Apparently the Grand Rapids Police Department moved into the newly built building in 1967.

Perhaps this photo was taken during a Memorial Day parade or other civic celebration in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I saw Police Department too, but I didn't want to suggestively influence anyone. :)
Thanks for digging. Yup, different parade.
