Original wheels paint for dog dish
« on: June 26, 2017, 11:13:20 AM »
Hey guys I'm planning to paint a set of OEM steel wheel and have dog dish installed to them. I know the outside of the wheels is suppose to be painted the same color as the car (Daytona yellow for mine), who about the inside ?

Does all the wheels we're originally black for the factory, then only painted on the outside the same finish color as the car ? Or the inside was also painted ? Or it stays in black ?

Thanks to all

The XT wheels I have are all black with car color on the cap side only.

I hope you like the yellow. I found it to be too much yellow & added trim rings to mine. That's just me though. Love to see a picture when you're done....Joe

Thanks for the reply, I will sure post pictures whenever it's done. Right now I drive a set of FC wheels (drums brakes) with P-01, Firestone wide oval redline and it looks great.

I'm planning for my second set of FC wheels, to have them painted yellow, with dod dish and Goodyears Wide Tread F70-14 white letters.

Also have a set of rally repro 15x7 with BF Goodrich.....
