Original DZ 302 Camshaft Change.
« on: April 24, 2017, 03:18:56 PM »
Has anyone swapped out the Offroad solid flat tappet cam for a Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller?

Just thinking it would be one less maintenance deal to think about, and I could save the Original cam and lifters in case I ever sold the car and someone wanted it.
Thanks

A lot of cost (parts plus change over time) to save a minimum amount of maintenance time IMO plus the engine will not have the solid flat tappet sound which I realize is no huge deal but its still different.
Unless you have issues or are in some need to change I'd let it be. But the hyd. rollers are a great choice for many applications.....
