You'd be lucky to find a 68 RS WW molding through a Chevrolet dealer these days. Even standard moldings are scarce, but that's what they'd sell you. It's up to you to cut them to fit an RS.

In 1968 there were two different moldings used 9785880  & 9785881 without RS package. 3928529 & 3928530 with RS package  was cut shorter for the three piece rocker moldings. Get a book called the 67-67 Camaro reference book that shows some original photos of the RS cars back then. Great book to  read. So yes you will need to cut the molding that have 9785880 & 9785881. Hope this helps

It's probably best to partially install the molding, then mark it right where the point on the end of the 3 piece lower molding intersects, then use a straight edge to mark the cut line as in the diagram. Then install and drill another hole. I used a fine tooth hacksaw and file. Being aluminum, they cut like butter...

Hi Garth you are right and i did that although i didnt cut the molding no balls as of yet. Funny thing is why i didnt cut it
is because the moldings on right and left had holes for screws in 2 different places at the end and these are both nos from chevy dealer
the aftermarket ones are in the same place i think i will put aftermarket ones on and do exactly as you said. Did you happen to cut them on the angle of the molding or just cut them straight across

Thx Garth

They were cut straight across from the factory as shown on your template.  I did kinda custom cut them for a better fit as I just think it looks better. Mine were NOS also, purchased in '90. The parts guy said RS were NLA and just to cut the standard !

This is about the best pic I have, off hand...
