« on: January 23, 2017, 10:28:50 PM »
i would like to get rid of my unused radio antenna with out leaving a hole in the the fender. and not any body work or paint. i would even consider just replacing it with a retractable one. is there any products on the market to fix this.  Thanks

The factory used a plug to fill the hole, all fenders had the hole

Well, no. Only cars ordered with a radio (and without the RPO U73 rear antenna) got the hole in the front fender. The drilling instructions are in the AIM, UPC U63/U69, sheet B1, view A.

If you don't want the hole, you'll need to either fill it, plug it or buy a new fender. But I'm confused. You want to "get rid of the antenna", but "replace it with a retractable one". Those statements are contradictory!

Sounds like you don't use or have a radio and you just want to plug up the hole without doing any bodywork... yes ?  Reason for suggesting a retractable antenna, then yes that's your best option w/o it looking botched.

Overall that just kinda seems odd though  ???

They have little chrome plugs for the fender hole.

You can replace the mast ... simple,  if your wanting it to remain cosmetically correct.
