Front rotors
« on: November 17, 2016, 02:22:58 PM »
On a previous post about front rotors it was mentioned that Camaro Central had rotor only without hub BRC-634. They no longer provide this part. It is serviced as an rotor/hub assembly. Is there anybody out there that offers just the rotor?
Thank you, Joe

I've not found any vendor selling just the rotor, since CC stopped offering them.

I needed one rotor for my car, so I bought a hub and rotor asm., took the rotor and bolted it to my original hub and gave it a light turn on a brake lathe. Now hub and rotor look original and I have a spare hub if ever needed.

That's a fair bit below factory minimum spec of 0.965" (http://www.teufert.net/misc/rotors.pdf). I'm in a similar situation, mine have some pitting which probably won't clean up when cut to minimum. Interested to follow this for a possible solution, even if it just means buying a complete 2-pc US made assembly.

There's a little difference between the hubs on the 69 as compared to the 68 so I will most likely use my hubs...Joe
