Could someone help decode this fuel pump's date? 297N. It's for a 1968 L6. Thanks.

Study this http://nastyz28.com/forum/threads/ac-fuel-pump-date-code-research-data.207770/
GM in the 60s had a 2 letter code where the first letter was the month A=Jan,B=Feb and so forth and the second letter represented the year, H=68, I=69,J=70
Starting in 71 the Julian date replaced the 2 letter. So 1=jan1st & 365= Dec 31st and all points in between. The Letter after the number, the year, still followed in order of previous, J=70, K=71...N=1974
Your pump is 297=297th day of the year (end of October) and N=74
