Thank you thank you!
Wow. Looking at the R/S tank & Associated Check valve (External; per the UPC 12 EN dated _Jan 5th 1968_) & filter, I was able to better understand the proper Config MY car should be set as (The Car was front ended in 1979 by previous owner) and they omitted the filter but kept the ORIG external check valve. So I was able to come to terms with this detail. I had a NOS (AC marked) filter in the drawer from Old Classic Camaro orders back in the 80's. Chick sincerely thanks for taking the time to post the pic's

As a side note Both my LOS cars (68/69) have the 1" washers on the hinges, Could it be a Plant -vs- Plant thing?

Thanks Jim for both the kind words and the info from your LOS cars. We or I have viewed very few LOS cars and when I have never looked at the hinge to fender arrangement. Might just be a plant thing as suggested.

I don't know how consistent this would apply however I have seen quite a few original paint LOS cars with the wiper cowl stripe confined to the recess whereas many of the NOR cars have the stripe 1/4-3/8 outside the on the aft portion.

Original born with battery tray. Note the tab where the battery hold down clamp bolts on. Will not find that tab on NOS service replacement battery trays.

I would be interested to know whether the batt tray was similar to the mid 70's X bodies (Nova) as I beleive it would probably fit.

Chick - did you happen to take any pictures of the water pump bypass hose fitting on this car. I assume it also is the hexagon style - but none of pictures actually showed much engine details and I was wondering..
Thanks - Randy

Mike, the car has RS wheel moldings which stop at the body lower side molding.

Here you go Randy as picture of hex design can be more clearly noted. Note the paint as I'm convinced the by-pass hose and nozzle were installed on the engine at Flint and painted.
